To Bring and not to Bring

Mighty Earthling is like camping with a theme. Plan to bring most of the items you would on a regular camping trip.

  • Your ID for guest list at gate
  • Tent, mattress, sleeping bags, pillows
  • Tarp. Some of the areas where we will be camping will be quite dusty so a tarp could help.
  • Camping lanterns, flashlights, solar decorative lights are nice. It gets quite dark there and there will be little moon.
  • Bathing suits, swim diapers
  • Towels, hand towels for the bathroom
  • Plates, cutlery, plastic drinkware. No need to bring pots, pans or any cooking instruments. All of that is available in the on-site, outdoor kitchen.
  • Do NOT bring a camp stove, fire pit or any other heating / cooking paraphrenalia. Fire is a hazard in this dry area and there is a large grill available for cooking as well as an outdoor kitchen.
  • Food. We will provide basic DIY breakfast (fruit, cereal) and snack / lunch items, but we know that kids have distinct likes and dislikes so be sure you have enough of what you know they will eat. We recommend coordinating with a few of your friends on delicious grillable meals you can share on Friday and Saturday night.
  • Enough ice (block ice lasts well) for the weekend in your cooler.
  • Water bottle for each family member.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat
  • Tecnu, insect repellent.
  • Floaties, noodles for pond
  • Warm clothing (the nights can get chilly). You can check weather here.
  • Rugged shoes if you plan to hike.
  • Dress-up items to be your favorite animal for the Creature Disco.
  • Camera, video camera
  • Any arts and crafts materials you are willing to share.
  • A couple kids’ books (preferably not branded, i.e. Sesame Street, Dora, Thomas) you are willing to share over the weekend (put your name on it).
  • Your iPod / iPhone with songs you and your child like to dance/ sing to.
  • A musical instrument if you have one.
  • Camping chairs.
  • Camping table (not necessary but perhaps handy).
  • Blanket for spreading out on the lawn.
  • Baby monitor (if desired)
  • Your happy self!
